Job description
Si-Ware Systems is seeking a Technical Writer to develop and maintain high-quality user manuals, service guides, and technical documentation for our advanced sensing and analytical solutions. The role involves translating complex technical information into clear, user-friendly materials that enable customers, field engineers, and integrators to effectively operate and maintain Si-Ware products.
You will work closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure documentation accuracy and consistency across all product lines and releases.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, write, and update installation, operation, calibration, and maintenance manuals for Si-Ware’s sensing systems hardware and associated software tools.
Gather information from subject matter experts (SMEs) including engineers, product managers, and application scientists.
Create step-by-step procedures, diagrams, and technical illustrations to enhance comprehension and usability.
Maintain a consistent structure, format, and style in line with Si-Ware’s documentation standards and branding guidelines.
Prepare service and troubleshooting guides for technical support and field teams.
Ensure all documentation meets ISO 9001 quality standards and complies with applicable safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., CE, FCC, RoHS).
Job requirements
3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, ideally within the instrumentation, semiconductors, or analytical equipment industry.
Proven track record producing hardware and software manuals, including user, installation, and maintenance documentation.
Strong command of English, with excellent technical writing and editing skills.
Proficiency in documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, MadCap Flare, or Confluence.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and content management systems (CMS).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and firmware documentation.
Working knowledge of optical systems, spectroscopy principles, or embedded devices is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
