Job description

Responsibilities include the following:

  • MEMS development engineer main responsibility is to be involved in development activities for the current MEMS chip as a core component in the MEMS based product of Si-Ware.

  • Investigate MEMS performance issues, and propose solutions to enhance and stabilize the performance of MEMS chip.

  • Developing platforms for MEMS data manipulation.

  • Up-to-date reporting of MEMS performance status.

  • Characterization and testing of fabricated MEMS systems.

  • System level design and parameter/specifications extraction.

  • Contribute to MEMS tapouts.

  • Layout using L-edit & other layout tools.

  • Technical interfacing with the MEMS foundry who is the supplier for providing MEMS chip.

  • Interface and work closely with different teams.

  • Communicate technical status to project managers.

  • Coordinate with different suppliers and perform procurement and purchasing activities.

  • MEMS modeling through analytical and numerical techniques including FEM techniques based on need.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering with preferable +2 years experience in the semiconductor industry preferably in a similar position, below 2 years experience as well as fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Basic knowledge of MEMS Characterization, design, & fabrication technologies is preferable.

  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Octave, C & Python coding is preferable.

  • Familiarity with Excel is preferable (Macros is a plus).

  • Familiarity with any scripting language is preferable.

  • Ability to visualize data to guide decisions is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge with lab equipment and ability to build bench characterization setups for measuring the performance of MEMS as well as optical components is a plus.

  • Familiar with L-Edit layout tool is a plus.

  • Familiarity with physical characterization tools usage such as SEM or AFM is a plus

  • Familiar with FEM tools (ANSYS, Comsol,…) is a plus.

  • Self-starter with demonstrated quantitative analysis and problem solving skills.

  • Teamwork orientation, effective verbal & written communication skills, & have tendency towards creativity & innovation.

  • Able to pro-actively communicate with different teams and work under pressure.

  • The ability to work on a dynamic culture for a growing high-tech product company with challenging environment.

  • Pro-active & initiative.

  • Excellent documentation skills.

  • Very good command of English language.
