Job description
Si-Ware is seeking a hands-on and motivated intern to join our team this summer in a role focused on Rapid Prototyping and Surface Functional Coatings.
As an intern, you’ll gain practical experience working with 3D printing, 4-axis CNC milling, and surface finishing techniques like anodizing and electroplating. This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you’ll contribute to real engineering challenges and help transform digital designs into functional mechanical parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Help create parts using 3D printing and CNC milling.
Prepare and finish parts through sanding, polishing, or coating.
Support surface protection processes like anodizing and sandblasting.
Assist in setting up tools and equipment as needed during the process.
Work with engineers to turn designs into real, functional parts.
Job requirements
Technical skills:
Basic knowledge of 3D printing and CNC machines.
Familiar with CAD tools (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks).
Understanding of materials and surface finishing methods.
Comfortable using hand tools and setting up workshop equipment.
Qualifications:
Junior or senior student in production, materials and chemical engineering or related field.
Passionate about fabrication, prototyping, or hands-on work.
Willingness to learn and take initiative in practical tasks.
Works well in a team and communicates clearly.
