Job description
Si-Ware Systems is looking for a highly innovative and detail-driven Inertial Solutions System Engineer to join our Inertial Solution team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, validating, and optimizing inertial sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and IMUs. A key focus will be on fine-tuning interfacing electronics parameters, including control loop gain, phase shift, and block gain, to achieve peak sensor performance. Your contributions will be pivotal in delivering cutting-edge solutions for advanced applications.
Key Responsibilities:
System Integration and Parameter Optimization:
Optimize interfacing electronics parameters such as control loop gain, phase shift, and gain blocks to achieve superior sensor performance.
Collaborate with design and development teams to integrate optimization insights into sensor systems.
Write initial firmware to allow interfacing with the sensor for data acquisition and manipulation.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in control systems and signal processing circuits.
Contribute to the integration of inertial sensors into larger systems and platforms.
Sensor Testing and Validation:
Utilize data acquisition tools to capture key sensor performance metrics.
Plan, design, and execute test protocols to assess inertial sensor performance under varied operational and environmental conditions.
Perform statistical and signal processing analysis to interpret data and refine sensor characteristics.
Maintain detailed records of testing and optimization processes.
Automate test procedures to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Generate comprehensive reports on test results and recommendations for system improvements.
